Job summary

Recover-Care Heartland is seeking an Activities Director to assess, develop, organize, and implement activity services for the patient population. The role focuses on promoting engagement and maintaining functional levels through tailored programs.

The position requires experience in leading recreational activities and related programs, with a preference for coursework in recreation and an established activity-training background. Risk management and patient safety are integral to daily duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with recreation coursework is desirable.
• Completion of a state approved activity-training course is preferred but not required.
• Experience leading recreational activities, arts/crafts, and educational/community outings is desired.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver activity/recreational programs to promote engagement and maintain functioning levels.
• Maintain precautions/limitations list on each patient.
• Encourage participation in group and individual activities including arts/crafts, outings, religious and educational activities, and community service.
• Perform miscellaneous work assignments as required.
