Job summary

Metropolitan Behavioral Health is seeking a Patient Account Rep for our Dearborn, MI campus. The role processes statements for in-house and discharged patients, handles follow-up and collections, and maintains patient financial files in accordance with hospital policies.

You will assist guarantors and families, verify benefits, support Medicaid applications, and perform related clerical duties. This in-person position offers a chanc to grow within UHS and its subsidiaries.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED is required; medical billing certificate and/or training is preferred.
• Two years of medical business office experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Processes statements for in-house and discharged patients.
• Maintains follow-up and collection activity including letters, telephone and personal contact.
• Maintains patient financial file and documentation in accordance with hospital policies.
• Assists patients with Medicaid applications and other clerical responsibilities.
