Job summary

WMH Alzheimer’s Support Group is seeking a Full-Time Billing Specialist to handle incoming calls, verify insurance coverage, and process patient payments. The role involves resolving billing inquiries, informing patients about balances, and coordinating with insurers to ensure timely claim submissions and reimbursements.

The position requires communication skills, strong numerical ability, and familiarity with Excel/Word.

Qualifications

Job description

Full-Time (This is not a remote position)

Responsible for answering incoming patient phone calls, Verifying insurance coverage, processing payments, resolving billing inquiries, communicating with patients about their outstanding balance, working with insurance companies to ensure accurate claims submission and timely reimbursements. Billing hospital claims to various insurance carriers and governmental agencies following up on unpaid claims with various insurance carriers and/or governmental agencies, which could include following up with collection agencies, attorneys and/or other third-party agents.
