Job summary

Beloit Health System is seeking a dedicated Patient Accounts Manager to oversee the daily operations of the Patient Financial Services team. The role focuses on accurate billing, timely submissions, denial management, and high-quality customer service in the hospital setting.

You will supervise staff, ensure HIPAA compliance, analyze financial reports, and drive improvements in reimbursement and cash posting. Collaboration across clinical, financial, and operational teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; 6+ years in hospital/provider billing may substitute.
• CHFP certification to be obtained within 12 months of hire.
• Strong knowledge of patient accounting processes and healthcare terminology.
• Proven leadership and ability to collaborate with clinical, financial and operational teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee billing functions, ensuring accurate coding, timely claim submissions and denial management.
• Lead and supervise billing staff; enforce HIPAA compliance and analyze financial reports.
• Optimize reimbursement and monitor daily/monthly processes for efficiency.
• Assess daily billing, follow up on collections, charge resolution and cash posting for accuracy.
• Analyze data, prepare reports on collections and payer reimbursement.
• Stay informed on payer contracts and regulatory changes; share updates with staff.
• Maintain payer portals to ensure billing accuracy.
• Report to Revenue Cycle leadership on opportunities for process improvements.
