Job summary

Cook Children’s in Fort Worth is seeking a Patient Account Representative to audit medical records for compliance and to handle electronic and paper claims across Nursing, Rehab, DME, and Infusion services. The role includes reconciling patient accounts and providing financial data to the Patient Account Manager.

You will act as a liaison between departments, patients, payors and staff, ensuring accurate documentation and a professional demeanor at all times.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma Preferred- 1 year billing or related experience in home health setting; in lieu of billing experience, 2 years of customer service.
• Knowledge of federal and state billing guidelines.
• High degree of interpersonal skills.
• Computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform internal medical record audits to ensure billing operations meet compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Process electronic and paper claims for Nursing, Rehab, DME and Infusion services.
• Reconcile patient accounts and work with accounts receivable.
• Serve as liaison between departments, patients, payors and staff while maintaining professionalism.
