Qualifications

• Proficient with computer software and hardware.

Job Summary:

Bertrand Chaffee Hospital, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing essential health resources to our community, is seeking an experienced

Patient Accounting Manager to join our team in Springville, New York. The successful candidate will oversee operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness of the department and staff.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with insurance providers to resolve complex payment issues, coverage questions and patient inquiries.
• Manage billing software and resource tools; supervise staff, (including hiring, training, performance appraisal) and address reimbursement issues.
• Conduct operational reviews including key performance indicators, monitor processes, and implement improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.
• Develop and utilize reporting systems.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred with minimum 5 years of experience in a management capacity
• Extensive medical billing and collection experience in a hospital or similar institution with working knowledge of physician practice billing.
• Working knowledge of hospital EMR, billing systems and related clearinghouses.
• Must be computer software and hardware literate.
• Medhost/EPIC experience preferred.
• Experience managing within a union environment
