Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Patient Account Representative in the Birmingham, AL area. You will handle inbound calls and some outbound follow-ups with a focus on patient experience and first-call resolution.

Responsibilities include resubmitting corrected claims, coordinating with other departments, and escalating issues as needed. Requires 0-2 years of relevant experience and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is nice to have.
• Dialer experience and payor-specific knowledge are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound customer service calls in a professional, patient manner.
• Make some outbound follow-up calls to customers.
• Determine caller needs and resolve issues on first call when possible.
• Escalate to a supervisor or refer to subject-matter expert as needed.
• Resubmit corrected claims with supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with other departments to manage patient accounts.
