You will handle billing processes, follow-ups with insurers, and generation of reports, while maintaining professional standards and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• 1 year hospital business office experience in billing and collections required; 3 years preferred.
• Familiarity with insurance verification, claims follow-up, and patient account management desirable.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent organization.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and processes pre-admission and insurance information.
• Notifies insurance companies of admissions and logs notifications.
• Coordinates hospital system's insurance billing function.
• Applies patient, insurance, and other payments to accounts.
• Performs Billing Clerk and Cashier duties as needed.
• Coordinates and performs insurance follow-up procedures.
• Prepares weekly and monthly billing reports and reconciliations.
• Maintains confidentiality and compliance with PHI and hospital policies.
