Job summary

Thompson Health is seeking a full‑time Medical Billing Specialist to monitor and manage accounts receivable from third‑party payers. The role involves reviewing registrations, coordinating with departments, and ensuring timely AR processes and accurate payments.

The candidate should have 2–3 years of medical billing experience, familiarity with payer claims, and strong communication skills. Remote/hybrid work is possible after training; residency in NY or PA is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate's Degree preferred.
• Medical terminology desired.
• ICD‑9/10 CPT coding experience is strongly preferred.
• 2 to 3 years of medical billing experience preferred.
• Familiarity with all forms of payer claims by paper and electronic media preferred.
• Excellent public/patient relations and communication skills.
• Skills in using Mainframe, Excel, and Word preferred.

Responsibilities

Full time, Days. Remote/hybrid available once fully trained at manager's discretion. Must reside in the states of New York or Pennsylvania.
