Under the supervision of the Business Operations Manager, the Patient Account Representative is responsible for correcting and maintaining client accounts details to optimize potential for reimbursement and revenue collection.

The Patient Account Representative I plays a key role in improving Bluebonnet Trails Community Services (BTCS) revenue cycle management performance.

1. Enter and verify accurate insurance information for all persons receiving services at BTCS into the Electronic Health Record (EHR), based on information supplied by Customer Service Representatives.
2. Run weekly denials reports to identify and correct denials caused by incorrect or incomplete insurance data.
3. Assist in keeping information up-to-date in the EHR, including managing monthly returned statements, correcting demographic and service errors, calling clients for updated information, and posting payments.
4. Support the Patient Account Representative II by answering dedicated lines, sending monthly statements, and other assigned projects.
5. Participate in special projects as needed.

Location: Remote, Round Rock.

Salary: $18.39 - $23.14/hr.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED, 2+ years healthcare admin experience, 1+ year working with insurance payors, strong communication and computer skills, valid Texas Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications: Healthcare administration or related experience, bilingual, knowledge of insurance coverage, experience with payment collections, and familiarity with Texas Community Mental Health Centers and SmartCare.
