Responsibilities

  • Engages in core revenue cycle functions such as billing, claims filing, data entry, charge entry, insurance follow up, denial management, payment posting, customer service, and billing records review.
  • Maintains confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA guidelines; follows policies for revenue cycle duties.
  • Prepares and submits clean claims to insurance companies electronically or by paper in a timely and compliant manner.
  • Processes assigned reports, worklists, and patient accounts with high accuracy.
  • Communicates with patients regarding accounts, answers billing questions, and explains payment options.
  • Verifies patient insurance coverage and benefits, coordinates with insurers to resolve discrepancies.

  • Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits, and coordinate with insurance companies to resolve any discrepancies.
