Job summary

Northern Montana Health Care in Havre, MT is seeking a Credit & Collections Clerk to support our hospital system. You will check insurance claims status and help patients resolve accounts with patient responsibility, while coordinating financial assistance documents and researching patients who have moved without forwarding addresses.

Role requires a high school diploma, computer literacy, and strong organizational and communication skills, with a credit check under FCRA.

About the role

Welcome to the exciting world of credit and collections; a field that can open doors to many career opportunities! This position will be assigned the responsibility of checking medical claims status with insurance companies on claims filed on behalf of Northern Montana Health Care as well as working with patients to resolve their accounts on which there is patient responsibility. Other duties include, but are not limited to, coordinating patient financial assistance documents and researching patients that have moved and left no forwarding address.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Computer literate, good organizational skills, effective communication skills and ability to learn quickly and be assertive.
• This position is subject to a credit check based on the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Salary is commensurate with up to 10 years of experience.
