Prime Healthcare is seeking a Patient Account Registrar at St. John's Hospital in Leavenworth, KS. This full-time role supports the Admitting team by collecting demographic and insurance information, verifying eligibility, benefits, and authorizations, and entering data in computerized systems.

The position requires hospital admissions experience, strong communication, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, with benefits including health insurance and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Previous hospital admissions experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Location:St. John's Hospital– Leavenworth, KS

We are seeking aPatient Account Registrar,sometimes referred to as aHospitalAdmission Representative.The Patient Account Registrarcollects and verifies patient demographic and insurance information while ensuring eligibility, benefits, and authorizations are accurately obtained.The Patient Account Registrarcollaborates closely with the Admitting team and communicates effectively with patients across all age groups.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients or authorized representatives to gatheraccuratedemographic and insurance information
• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and required authorizations
• Enter and retrieve patient data using computerized systems
• Communicate clearly with patients using age-appropriate techniques across all life stages
• Support Admitting department operations, including reception, PBX functions, and special assignments

Qualifications

• Previous hospital experience as an admissions representative preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize needs to meet required timelines
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Customer Services experience required
