Job summary

Providence St Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR, is seeking a Patient Admissions Coordinator to be the first voice patients hear and to guide them through the admission process with compassion and efficiency.

The role focuses on collecting demographic, insurance, and medical information, ensuring accurate documentation, and supporting a smooth revenue cycle. Experience with Epic and insurance systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in healthcare or business administration is preferred.
• National Certification of CHAA is preferred.
• 3 years of experience in Patient Access or business office setting.
• Experience with insurance eligibility systems is preferred.
• 3 years of utilization of medical terminology in job setting.
• Knowledge of medical billing codes.
• Knowledge of Epic applications (1 year).

Responsibilities

• Secure appropriate patient account reimbursement by obtaining complex demographic, insurance and medical information.
• Ensure information is documented timely and accurately.
• Provide a welcoming, supportive experience for patients and families throughout the admission process.
