Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Patient Access professional at North Shore Medical Center to collect and record patient information, ensuring a positive patient experience and supporting billing processes.

The role leads staff, trains team members, schedules daily assignments, and handles pre-registration and information processing with attention to privacy and accuracy. Onsite location: 81 Highland Avenue. Salary range is shown below.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Associate’s Degree Related Field of Study preferred.
• Experience: 3–5 years in patient access, admissions, billing or related roles.
• Knowledge: Patient access procedures, healthcare regulations and insurance coverage.
• Skills: Excellent customer service, active listening, empathy, communication.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and provide exceptional customer service and support.
• Schedule appointments, pre-register patients, and process patient information accurately.
• Respond to patient inquiries and resolve issues related to healthcare services and insurance coverage.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information per HIPAA regulations.
• Stay up to date on healthcare regulations and apply them in daily operations.
• Train and mentor staff, provide input on performance, and coordinate daily assignments.
