Job summary

Agios Pharmaceuticals is seeking a dynamic Patient Support Manager to join the Market Access team. The role focuses on reimbursement support, adherence support, and connecting patients and caregivers to resources while building trusted relationships throughout the treatment journey.

The role requires engaging with patients, caregivers, and HCPs, collaborating with field and office teams, and ensuring a seamless patient experience from access through treatment initiation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Five+ years' experience in patient service or market access (healthcare/pharma).
• Experience with private payer, Medicare Part D and Medicaid structures and reimbursement processes.
• Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce.com.
• Strong communication and collaboration across functions and stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel up to 10–15%.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a best-in-class patient services program to support Agios’ commercial vision and mission.
• Maintain long-term relationships with patients, caregivers, families, and HCPs to identify and address access barriers.
• Collaborate with field-based and home-office teams to deliver a unified patient access and brand strategy.
• Assess patient needs, develop action plans, and address barriers to treatment initiation and continuity.
• Connect patients with peer resources and represent Agios at events and ambassador programs.
• Share reimbursement knowledge with customers and internal teams for complex patient cases.
