United Surgical Partners International, Inc (USPI) is seeking a PRN Patient Access Representative to greet patients, verify insurance, schedule surgeries, and register patients for procedures at Roswell Surgery Center. This role requires strong communication, accuracy, and collaboration with physicians’ offices and center staff.

The position emphasizes insurance verification, patient check-in, and upfront financial discussions. PRN scheduling supports center operations and patient care access.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of medical insurance verification required.
• 2+ years of medical insurance verification preferred.
• Ability to read and understand insurance explanations of benefits and managed care contracts.
• Telephone and communication skills.
• Excellent multitasking skills.
• Detail oriented and organized.

Responsibilities

• Call all patients scheduled for surgery preoperatively, verify demographics and insurance information.
• Review admissions forms with patients by phone and obtain consents to treat.
• Review financial obligations and collect monies as needed.
• Call patients the day before surgery and collect any monies due that haven’t been paid in advance.
• Perform other duties as assigned and support the surgical center team.
• Assist team members, physicians, and anesthesia personnel as needed.
• Develop communication and departmental relationships to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in committees and educational programs to enhance patient care.
• Verify patient identity in compliance with Identity Theft Policy.
