Job summary

You will deliver excellent customer service, collect accurate data, and explain patients’ rights under HIPAA while upholding Harris Health policy. You will ensure all accounts are complete to support timely billing, with flexibility for weekend shifts and telecommuting options where approved.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year in a customer service oriented environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, family members and co-workers in a manner consistent with a customer service focus and the language of caring principles.
• Able to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Complete registration, admission and insurance verification for inpatients and outpatients.
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure accurate data collection.
• Inform patients of their rights per HIPAA and Harris Health System policy.
• Ensure accounts contain complete data for timely billing and reimbursement.
