Community Health Network, Inc. seeks an Associate Patient Access Representative (APAR) to greet visitors, check in patients, and verify insurance for financial clearance.

The role supports scheduling, payment collection, and CMS-compliant patient information management while ensuring accurate documentation in the EHR. The APAR serves as a primary point of contact, guiding patients through admissions and registrations with a focus on exceptional service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Required).
• 1+ years in healthcare office setting and/or strong customer service background (Preferred).
• Registration/Admissions: Proficient in all types of registrations (inpatient, outpatient, emergency).
• Completes Admissions, Discharges, and Transfers in a timely manner when applicable.
• Ability to monitor and perform all patient hospital and/or ambulatory movement.
• Utilizes EPIC work queue to pre-register scheduled patients.
• Verifies medical necessity per CMS standards and communicates coverage/eligibility information.
• Accurately identifies and enters patient demographics, insurance, and financial information.
• Gathers and verifies health and financial information from patients for payment authorization.
• Confirms completeness of the electronic health record (EHR) and makes necessary changes.

Responsibilities

• Handle front-office and back-office tasks across the network, including registrations, scheduling, and financial clearance.
• Ensure smooth workflows and adherence to guidelines, preparing patients administratively and financially for visits.
