Job summary

R1 RCM Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Representative - Patient Registration at LifePoint Conemaugh Nason Medical Center. This PRN, part-time role requires open availability for day, evening, and overnight shifts, plus a rotating on-call schedule.

You will be the first contact for patients, delivering fast, compassionate access to care. You will register patients, verify insurance, collect co-pays, and support care teams to ensure smooth patient flow in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Pass background check, drug test, and vaccination requirements disclosed.
• Excellent customer service and strong communication skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and assist patients and families with the check-in process across multiple computer systems.
• Answer phones and gather accurate patient information in a fast-paced environment.
• Support timely access to care by minimizing registration delays and answering questions clearly and compassionately.
• Build trust with patients who may be ill, anxious, or overwhelmed during registration.
• Navigate insurance plans, enter demographics and medical data, collect co-pays and provide cost estimates when applicable.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and care teams to ensure smooth patient flow.
