Job summary

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of customer service or healthcare registration experience.
• Some college coursework in Medical Terminology or Medical Assistant preferred.
• Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) or Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCS) preferred.
• Experience as Registrar or with third-party payors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Obtain complex demographic, insurance and medical information for patient accounts.
• Ensure information is documented timely and accurately.
• Provide superior customer service to patients, visitors, physicians and staff.
• Manage tasks during high-volume periods and stressful situations.
• Maintain knowledge of compliance requirements and insurance plans.
