St. Luke’s Health System is seeking a Patient Access Specialist to support patient encounters at Elmore Hospital. You will handle registration, scheduling, and referrals, and communicate with patients and caregivers by phone or in person.
The role includes discussing financial options, insurance coverage, authorizations, verifications, and estimates, using diverse systems to support workflow, with other duties as assigned. Flex shifts apply and training is provided.

This customer service position is often the first person a patient encounters when entering the St. Luke’s Elmore Hospital. This important role supports exceptional interactions to ensure professional, timely and accurate written and verbal communication with both patients and caregivers (both in person and by phone).
Shift details: Friday 3:30-9:00pm. Would need to be Flexible covering other shifts during evenings, weekends, graveyards and holidays
Flex employees work between 8 to 32 hours per pay period (every two weeks). Hours/schedules are made in advance according to the employees availability and the needs of the department. The shifts and the hours will vary from week to week. The ideal candidate is available days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
