Job summary

St. Luke’s is seeking a Patient Access Specialist to greet patients and handle registration, scheduling, and referrals in our hospital and clinic environments.

The role involves explaining insurance coverage and estimates, discussing financial options, and coordinating with caregivers. It supports efficient workflow and accurate communication, in a collaborative team setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Experience handling patient registrations and scheduling is preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients and caregivers in person and by phone.

At St. Luke’s, our dedicated team of Patient Access Specialists strive to build a positive, supportive, and inclusive culture that delivers exceptional patient experiences.

This customer service position is often the first person a patient encounters when entering a St. Luke’s hospital or clinic. This important role supportsexceptional interactions to ensure professional, timely and accurate written and verbal communication with both patients and caregivers (both in person and by phone).

Schedule: Monday through Friday 2:3pm-6:30pm.

What you can expect from this role:

• Registration, scheduling, and referral coordination for patients
• Discussions on financial options and/or explanations of insurance coverage, including authorizations, verifications, and estimates
• Use a variety of technologies, tools and resources to support departmental workflows
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications for this Role:

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
