Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma required.
• College degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of customer service experience.
• Minimum 1 year in healthcare patient access required.
• Regulatory, payer, HIPAA, and revenue cycle knowledge required.
• Epic Registration and scheduling experience preferred.
• Certification: NCH Patient Access Specialist I competencies required.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients and schedules procedures accurately.
• Verifies insurance and collects non-covered fees.
• Registers outpatients across multiple clinical sites.
• Handles access areas including Busse Center and Emergency/Admitting Department.
