Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Schedules patient appointments and enters required information accurately and timely.
• Obtains demographic, insurance and financial information from patient or guarantor.
• Enters information in computer system with a high degree of accuracy.
• Explains all required forms to the patient or guarantor and obtains signatures.
• Ensures medical necessity compliance by obtaining data, reviewing system, and obtaining signatures.
• Protects the financial integrity by collecting patient liability and arranging payments.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and benefits and ensures notifications are completed.
• Posts payments in the system and generates patient receipts.
• Monitors and resolves patient account issues on assigned reports.
• Communicates professionally with physicians, departments, staff, insurers, patients and families.
• Completes thorough and accurate documentation.
• Models Memorial Hermann service standards by providing safe and personalized experiences.
