Job summary

Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center is seeking a Patient Access Representative I to register patients and coordinate insurance-related tasks. The role requires accurate information collection, consent handling, and effective liaison with patients, providers, payers, and other stakeholders.

The position features daytime hours (10a–6p), Monday–Friday with some weekends, and is based at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 0–3 years of experience in Patient Access, Medical Office, Health Insurance or relevant area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and verify patient information for registration.
• Maintain contact with third-party payers to determine reasons for outstanding claims and facilitate payment.
• Request payment of financial dues from patient or guarantor.
• Obtain federally required and hospital consents in a timely manner.
• Reconcile daily bank bags and post dues collected or data entries in the system.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and work in various patient settings and locations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
