Avera Health is seeking an Admissions Specialist to register patients accurately and manage insurance verifications at its hospital location. You will verify coverage, collect co-pays, and coordinate with care teams to ensure smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience in billing, insurance or registration.
• Ability to verify insurance and collect co-pays/deductibles.
• Strong attention to accuracy and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Register patients accurately with demographic, insurance and physician data.
• Verify insurance, pre-certifications and authorization for accounts.
• Coordinate with patients, staff and external agencies to establish accounts.
• Assist in bed assignments and CMS/privacy compliance communications.
• Explain patient financial responsibilities and collect deposits as needed.
