Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED required.
• Fluency in English; Spanish preferred in some settings.
• Two years hospital or health care registration/billing/insurance experience preferred.
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft products; typing 45 wpm+.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and verify demographic and financial information for inpatients and outpatients prior to or during registration.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, physicians, and payers.
• Communicate insurance information to case management and financial counseling staff as appropriate.
• Enter required information into the registration system and secure signatures and payments as needed.
