Job summary

Englewood Health, a leading healthcare system in northern New Jersey, seeks a Patient Access Representative for Emerson. You will interview patients and representatives to collect demographic and financial data, perform data entry and registration tasks, and uphold Service Excellence standards in all interactions.

The position is full-time, daytime shift (8a-4p) in Emerson, NJ, with prior clerical/healthcare experience preferred and HS diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with professional appearance.
• Ability to function independently.
• Clerical, data entry and typing skills including filing and record keeping.
• One or more years of registration or related clerical/health care experience preferred with HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Some knowledge of computer systems.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that has frequent changes in priorities.
• Flexibility and ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail.
• Ability to complete needed tasks with speed and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients or patients’ representatives to obtain necessary personal, demographic and financial information.
• Perform computer data entry and other record keeping tasks related to the patients’ registration within the registration areas.
• Exhibits Service Excellence Standards at all times, and incorporates into all interactions.
• Work in the Englewood Hospital Imaging at Emerson registration areas.
