Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare Corporate is seeking a patient access support professional to assist the Patient Access Department. You will ensure complete patient accounts, verify insurance and demographic data, and determine patient financial responsibility while processing payments.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED; 1 year of healthcare revenue cycle or related clerical experience, with 3 years preferred. Epic experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Education: H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Experience: 1 year in one of Healthcare Revenue Cycle, Clinical role, related clerical accounting/finance/retail/customer service; 3 years of healthcare Revenue Cycle preferred; Epic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves as patient facing support for the Patient Access Department within Piedmont Healthcare.
• Ensures patient accounts are complete with valid insurance coverage and current demographic/clinical data.
• Calculates patient financial responsibility, presents patient financial options/requirements and processes patient payments.
• Secures patient consent and acknowledgement on required forms/notices.
