Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Registers patients for inpatient/outpatient encounters for the Health System.
• Obtains patient demographics and insurance information for accurate registration.
• Collects co-payments or deposits as required for services rendered.
• Balances cash drawer as part of the end of day process.
• Explains facility policies and ensures consent/insurance forms are signed at the appropriate time.
• Enters information in computer system with correct spelling and medical record details.
• Greets patients and interviews for pertinent information.
• Provides coverage across admitting areas as needed and adheres to policies.
