Job summary

Genesis PrimeCare is seeking a Patient Access Specialist to be the primary contact for patients needing provider access, appointment coordination, and timely communication. The PAS will manage provider schedules, coordinate visits, return calls, and collaborate with clinical and clerical staff to maintain an efficient, patient-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: 1 year receptionist/administrative experience in an office or clinic setting.

Job description

The Patient Access Specialist (PAS) assists patients with provider and nursing issues needing prompt resolution and serves as a key point of contact for patient needs, requests, and access to their provider. This role manages provider schedules, coordinates patient appointments, returns calls, and ensures timely communication. The PAS collaborates with all staff—both clinical and clerical to maintain an efficient, professional environment while meeting the needs of the patient.
