The Guthrie Clinic is seeking a Centralized Scheduler to be the first point of contact for patients, guiding them through scheduling, pre-registration and benefits verification with compassion and accuracy.

This part-time role offers day shifts, on-site work in Vestal, NY, with shift differentials for evenings and weekends, a strong benefits package, and a culture that values teamwork and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of healthcare experience required.
• Experience with Epic and Windows/MS Word.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong typing skills and proper phone etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduling, pre-registration, cancellation, and insurance verification.
• Provide high-quality patient service over the phone and in scheduling interactions.
• Educate patients on copays and balances; coordinate with financial counselors as needed.
• Build relationships with physician offices and registration areas to ensure smooth scheduling.
• Assist patients with MyChart enrollment and related issues.
