Under the Health Center Director, you will register patients, verify insurance, schedule appointments, and act as a friendly liaison between patients and staff. This full-time role requires accuracy, confidentiality, and strong communication in a fast-paced health center.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of office experience; medical office experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and health insurance.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred.
• Typing speed of 40 words per minute preferred.

Responsibilities

• Control the flow of patients in and out of the clinic.
• Register patients, verify insurance, and update demographics.
• Serve as receptionist and liaison between patients, teammates, and staff.
• Review patient-related forms for accuracy and completeness and assist patients with required information.
• Schedule patient appointments, record details, and communicate appointment information to patients.
• Maintain accurate patient files and databases.
• Answer and direct telephone calls appropriately.
• Assist trained staff as needed to support clinic operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
