Job summary

Siouxland Community Health Center seeks a full-time receptionist to support front desk operations in Sioux City, IA. You will answer calls, schedule appointments, and help patients with intake forms using our EMR system. Strong communication in English, and Spanish language skills are preferred.

Prior phone experience and basic computer skills are desirable in a busy clinic environment. You will collaborate with medical staff to ensure accurate information flow and patient-friendly service,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• EMR systems experience is a plus.
• Previous phone experience is a plus.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer and direct incoming phone calls and use overhead paging system.
• Access Practice Management System to inform patients of appointment information.
• Formulate phone notes from patient calls in EMR.
• Works directly with medical staff to ensure accurate communication and understanding between patient and staff.
• Assists patients in completing all necessary intake forms at initial visit, including but not limited to, demographic and medical history and financial verification.
