Job summary

Saint Mary's Community Hospital is seeking a Patient Access Representative to support the revenue cycle. You will serve as a primary point of contact for patients and families, handling registration, scheduling, and admitting workflows with professionalism and HIPAA compliance.

Daily tasks include data capture, insurance eligibility verification, and processing of records in the EHR. You will communicate patient financial responsibilities and assist with payments at the time of service,

Qualifications

• Healthcare registration procedures and documentation knowledge.
• Knowledge of health insurance payers and real-time eligibility verifications.
• 1 year healthcare or patient access experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive Patient Registration: end-to-end data capture and eligibility checks in the EHR.
• Financial Coordination & Collections: communicate estimated liabilities and collect payments at service.
• Scheduling & Workflow Management: coordinate appointments and resolve routine discrepancies.
• Professional Patient Support: act as a primary contact for patients and internal departments.
• Compliance & Data Integrity: uphold HIPAA privacy standards and accurate documentation.
