Responsibilities

• Obtain and verify patient information for records, billing, and third-party payers.
• Enter patient information into the electronic health record accurately.
• Maintain confidentiality and complies with HIPAA.
• Transcribe and validate patient orders.
• Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments in the EHR.
• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility.
• Explain patient liability, generate estimates, and collect prepayments or balances.
• Monitor and resolve errors in assigned work queues.
• Support patient engagement, including activation of MyChart.
• Assist with wayfinding and connecting patients to care.
• Perform additional duties to support goals.
