Job summary

Cabarrus-Rowan Community Health Center is seeking a Patient Representative I in the Patient Services department. Under the Site Coordinator, you will greet patients, enter demographics and insurance, and schedule appointments in the EMR.

Requires a high school diploma or GED with excellent organizational and communication skills. Bilingual Spanish is a plus. You may travel to other CRCHC sites and support translation services as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and comprehend English.
• One year or less of clerical office experience.
• Excellent organizational, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Able to maintain confidentiality of records.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate high-quality customer service to patients, staff and vendors.
• Greet clients, answer phones and schedule appointments.
• Enter patient demographics, insurance information and charges into EMR.
• Obtain and verify payment information and process claims as needed.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
• Travel to other CRCHC sites as required.
• Provide translation services upon request from management.
• Support in-services, staff meetings and training as assigned.
