Job summary

Cabarrus Rowan Community Health Centers seeks a Patient Representative I to record patient demographics, insurance data, charges, and payments. You will greet patients, answer phones, and schedule appointments at the assigned clinic under supervision.

Responsibilities include maintaining accurate EMR documentation, adhering to scheduling protocols, explaining the sliding scale program, and providing translation services when requested. Travel to other CRCHC sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Reads, writes, and comprehends English
• One year or less clerical experience in an office setting
• Excellent organizational, problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Strong basic computer skills
• Bilingual in Spanish and English (preferred)
• Education: High school diploma or GED; Associates degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Record patient demographics, insurance information, charges and payments.
• Greet clients, answer calls, and schedule appointments.
• Maintain confidentiality of records and communicate with all levels.
• Enter patient registration into EMR and ensure accurate documentation.
• Adhere to scheduling protocol for all appointment types.
• Provide translation services upon request and support patient flow.
• Work varied shifts including early, night, and weekends; travel to other CRCHC sites as needed.
