Qualifications

• High School Education/GED or equivalent is required.
• Associate’s/Technical degree in business or related field preferred.
• One year of customer service experience, preferably in healthcare or service-oriented environment is required.
• One year of experience in Patient Access, Revenue Cycle, physician office, healthcare insurance, or related field is required.

Responsibilities

• Schedules, confirms, and modifies appointments per guidelines; communicates prep instructions.
• Coordinates with referring providers to schedule services; updates demographic/insurance info for clearance.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and authorizations; ensures patient ID and MRN; confirms orders and labs.
• Obtains external medical records needed for scheduled services; provides exceptional customer service.
• Processes patient/provider messages; supports clinicians and team with scheduling/access needs.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
