Job summary

Borinquen Medical Centers in Miami, FL seeks a full-time Patient Service Representative to register patients for treatment, verify benefits, and explain financial requirements. The role includes answering calls, scheduling appointments, and guiding new patients through the paperwork and locations.

You will lead onboarding of new patients, maintain confidentiality, handle insurance inquiries, and coordinate with clinics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant certificate or diploma preferred.
• 3 years of related experience required.
• Strong interpersonal and confidentiality skills.
• Bilingual abilities preferred (Spanish or Creole).

Responsibilities

• Register and/or oversee patient registration for treatment.
• Explain financial requirements and verify insurance benefits.
• Answer incoming calls and schedule appointments for new patients.
• Lead and train clerks in patient registration tasks.
• Input insurance information and maintain daily appointment data.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist physicians as needed.
• Enroll and dis-enroll Medicaid patients as applicable.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow department procedures.
