Qualifications

• HIPAA knowledge and Ryan White understanding are required.
• Minimum high school diploma or GED; clerical experience in medical env preferred.
• Experience with CAREWare, EMR systems and patient data entry is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct insurance eligibility and intake, explain benefits, collect copays per sliding scale.
• Schedule, cancel, and reschedule appointments via Healow or EMR portal.
• Enter patient demographics and encounters in CAREWare; capture photos when needed.
• Obtain ROI, HIPAA consents; scan records into EMR; ensure records are complete.
• Coordinate outgoing/incoming referrals and respond to patient inquiries.
