Louisiana State University (Student Health Center) seeks a Patient Access Coordinator to act as the first point of contact for patients, manage check-in/check-out processes, scheduling, and health records. The role supports a multi-disciplinary Medical Clinics team, including general medicine and gynecology, and collaborates with Our Lady of the Lake Health.

The position emphasizes accurate demographic and insurance data, patient confidentiality, and smooth patient flow through the SHC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in health care office environment preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic clinic management/health records and HIPAA policies.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, reschedule, cancel and confirm in-person and telehealth appointments and manage provider schedules across clinics.
• Collect and verify insurance information; post co-pays and patient payments; perform daily cash reconciliation.
