Job summary

Northwell Health in Norwalk, CT, seeks a Medical Practice Patient Representative for the NHMP Float Team Region C. The PRN role covers Wilton, Norwalk, New Canaan, Darien and Westport with 8-hour shifts 8:00 am–5:00 pm and a float differential.

The position provides clerical support, patient care coordination, demographics/insurance verification, scheduling and record processing. Requires a HS diploma and 1 year of customer service; healthcare experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year of customer-related experience required.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verifies and schedules patient appointments, testing and referrals.
• Registers, verifies and updates patient demographics and insurance information.
• Answers phones, routes calls and conveys information clearly and pleasantly.
• Collects co-pays and reconciles money for deposits.
• Processes medical records and documents via eFax.
