Qualifications

• - High school diploma or equivalent required.
• - Three years of hospital/physician office clerical experience (Clerk, Scheduler, MA, or NA).
• - Experience in an outpatient position preferred.
• - Knowledge of insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid practices.
• - PC and keyboard skills required; accurate clerical skills.
• - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work with diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient scheduling and registration for outpatient and ancillary departments.
• Switchboard operations, petty cash, mail distribution.
• Organize and manage Admissions office records and systems.
• Obtain and verify authorizations for scheduled outpatient procedures and inpatient admissions.
