River Hospital is seeking a full-time Central Scheduler for our Patient Access Department. Responsibilities include inpatient and outpatient scheduling and registration for all inpatient and ancillary departments, as well as switchboard operations and admissions office management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years prior experience in a Hospital/Physician Office required.
• Knowledge of insurance, Medicare and Medicaid practices.
• PC and keyboard skills required.
• Accurate clerical skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Excellent communication/interpersonal skills necessary.
• Ability to work with diverse groups including; physicians, nurses, therapists, patients, and families.

Responsabilités

• Inpatient and outpatient scheduling and registration for all inpatient and ancillary departments.
• Responsible for switchboard operations, petty cash, mail distribution.
• Responsible for the organization and management of the Admissions office, its records, files, and necessary systems.
• Responsible for obtaining and verifying all authorizations for scheduled outpatient procedures and inpatient admissions.
