Job summary

BJC HealthCare in Missouri is seeking a Scheduler Lead to oversee patient access and scheduling across departments. You will mentor PAR I/II and Scheduler staff, run reports to monitor productivity, and coordinate onboarding and training to improve efficiency and patient flow.

This is a day-time, full-time role with benefits, requiring 2–5 years of experience and a High School diploma or GED; preferred Associate's degree and CHAA certification.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years experience in patient access/scheduling.
• Proficient in hospital scheduling and preregistration.
• HIPAA privacy standards knowledge.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills.
• Ability to work across multiple hospital systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as subject matter expert in patient access & scheduling.
• Mentor schedulers; run reports on accuracy and productivity.
• Adjust staffing to meet volume and operational goals.
• Coordinate with IT/vendors to investigate and resolve issues.
• Coach staff and conduct audits to improve processes.
