Job summary

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of billing/customer service/patient registration experience; CHAA certification is preferred within one year.

Responsibilities

• Obtains or validates patient information and registers patients into the software system, delivering a high level of customer service.

• Maintains patient safety and confidentiality of PHI; adheres to EMTALA rules during ED and Obstetrics registrations.

Works daily reports and account work queues to ensure the integrity of registration data. The Patient Access representative is responsible for the delivery of critical components of the Revenue Cycle; understanding regulatory compliance, maintaining patient safety through correct patient identification practices, and providing excellent customer service.What you will doObtains or validates patient information and registers patients into the software system, while providing a high level of customer service.Ensures all necessary demographic and financial data are obtained and documented into the system.Maintains patient safety through the correct patient identification practices.
