You will be part of a collaborative, physician-led team that works as one and puts patients at the center of everything we do. With a connected network of providers, care teams, and services across primary and specialty care, surgery centers, imaging, lab, and therapy, you are part of a system designed to deliver high-quality, coordinated care. Together, we create an environment where you can grow, contribute, and help improve the experience and outcomes for every patient we serve.

About the Role

As a Patient Access Representative at Quincy Medical Group, you will often be one of the first people our patients interact with. You will help create a welcoming, organized experience by assisting with registration, scheduling, patient information, and other front-office needs. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys helping people, communicates well, and takes pride in getting the details right. Healthcare experience is helpful but not required—we are looking for someone who is dependable, comfortable learning new systems, and ready to be part of a team.

Schedule & Work Environment

Part-time position with a varied schedule based on department needs. Evening and weekend availability is required. This is a patient-facing role in a fast-paced healthcare environment where priorities and patient volumes may change throughout the shift.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Welcome patients and visitors and provide friendly, professional assistance throughout the check-in and registration process.
  • Verify and update patient demographics, insurance information, and other required information accurately.
  • Schedule and manage patient appointments while helping patients understand next steps and appointment details.
  • Answer incoming calls, respond to questions, and direct patients to the appropriate department or resource.
  • Collect applicable payments and provide information regarding patient financial responsibilities within established guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate information within the electronic medical record and protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
  • Communicate with providers, clinical staff, and other departments to support efficient patient flow and resolve scheduling or registration needs.
  • Balance multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and a positive patient experience.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support department operations.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous customer service, healthcare, reception, scheduling, or administrative experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills with a genuine desire to help others.
  • Comfort using computers and ability to learn electronic medical record, scheduling, and registration systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately enter and verify information.
  • Ability to stay organized and adjust priorities in a busy environment.
  • Dependable and able to work the evening and weekend hours required by the position.
Benefits
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits that include healthcare navigation assistance.
  • Access to a mental health benefit at no cost.
  • $2,625 Tuition Reimbursement per year.
  • Immediate 401(k) match.
  • A culture committed to community engagement and social impact.

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $15.35 - $23.03 per hour determined by experience, education, skills, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials and other incentives where applicable. At Quincy Medical Group, we believe healthcare works best when it’s personal, connected, and led by people who truly care. We are a physician-led medical group built on trusted relationships, teamwork, and a shared commitment to putting patients first in every decision we make. Our team members are caregivers, collaborators, problem-solvers, and leaders. Together, we show up with compassion, act with purpose, and take ownership of the care we deliver and the experience we create. Whether you’re caring directly for patients or supporting the teams who do, your role matters here, and your voice is valued. We listen with intention, work as one, and challenge ourselves to keep improving, not for recognition, but because our patients, families, and communities count on us.
