Job summary

ECU Health Beaufort Hospital in Washington is seeking a front desk registrar to create the first impression of our services. You will manage outpatient scheduling, patient registration, and data collection to ensure accurate billing.

You will be the first point of contact for physician offices and other customers regarding scheduling procedures, handling documentation and signatures in a fast-paced hospital setting. This FT role requires strong communication and multitasking skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
• 2 years of customer service experience required.
• 1–2 years of registration/billing experience in healthcare preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Schedule outpatient appointments and registrations for all patients.
• Collect data, signatures, and documents to ensure billing accuracy.
• Act as main contact for physician offices regarding scheduling procedures.

Position Summary

Responsible for creating the first impression of the organization's services to patients and families and other external customers. Performs outpatient scheduling, registration for all patients (emergency, ambulatory, and inpatients) and collects proper data, documents, and signatures to ensure hospital bills will be paid by third party payer or the patient. Serves as first point of contact for physician offices and other customers regarding scheduling procedures at ECU Health.

Minimum Requirements

• High School or Equivalent (GED) or higher is required
• Associate Degree: preferred
• Bachelors Degree: preferred
• 2 years Customer Service is required
• 1 to 2 years of Registration and/or Billing experience within a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Excellent communication (both written and oral), detail orientation, organization, and multitasking skills required
• Basic computer skills

Pay Range

$16.00 - $22.86

Other Information

FT position, 36 hours per week. Schedule is 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, three days per week. Days may vary and could be any day of the week.
